Invited to mediation by UKCPM after electing to defend PCN.

Hello all,
I have been issued multiple PCNs by UKCPM over the last two lockdowns while parking in a bay of my employment. I had permits issued to my employer by the landowner on display at all times. UKCPM is contracted by the landowner and I even had the chance to speak with the agent handing out the tickets. The UKCPM agent stated that my vehicle and permit were fine but to my dismay he doled out multiple tickets to me.
This year I received the first two of many claims taking me to court for payment. I have decided to defend my case and have submitted my statements.
The court has returned my original evidence but UKCPM have sent me a mail stating that we should go down the mediation route and asked me to fill in a form.
I am an absolute newbie and have perused the guidance of this forum for the last 18 months.
I would appreciate any advise forthcoming.
Stay safe and much Obliged.

On what grounds have the tickets been issued?0 -
Please either PM a board guide to get this moved to the Parking board, OR let this die and start a new thread in the Parking board.Jenni x0

On the basis that I did not have a permit on display. I had a permit issued by landowner to tenant, my employer always on display.sheramber said:The UKCPM agent stated that my vehicle and permit were fine but to my dismay he doled out multiple tickets to me.

Eh? You had a valid permit on display, and the parking operative agreed, yet the PCNs were issued for not having a valid permit on display? That doesn't make sense.DanielJLewis said:

It appears the permit was for the employer. What authorised the OP to use it?Jenni_D said:

Presumably the employer when they gave the OP the permit. How is an abstract employer meant to use a parking permit if it's not on a car being used by an employee?
You can try and do mediation, but it really requires a bit of give on both sides and from the sound of it you're not in the wrong in any way. I'd reply stating that you don't believe any mediation is worthwhile, but are happy to attend anyway (it'll be a phone call).
Who issued the request for mediation?

Presumably but the OP has not clarified the point. if the permit was in the name of the employer and the car is registered to the OP then that may be the problem.
By going to mediation the OP may fond out what the actual problem is with the permit.0
