HELP! HMRC - Reclaiming stamp duty - ex removing my name from old house!

Hi there
Just a quick question!
Just a quick question!
Me and my partner bought a house 6 months ago and had to pay the additional 3% Stamp Duty, as my name is still on the house and mortgage of my ex’s house.
She is now looking into remortgaging, getting my name off the mortgage and removing me from title deeds.
Does this mean I could be eligible to claim back the 3% stamp duty tax paid?
I know it says that if you sell your first/main home then you can reclaim, but not sure on this scenario?
thanks

You moved out less than 3 years ago so provided you dispose of your previous main residence in the next 6 months you can reclaim the addiional SDLT.
