Recent IVA
Options
I recently applied for An IVA. The paperwork has been completed and I have opened a new bank account with Nat West. My account with my previous bank TSB has been frozen and I am unable to access my pensions which has already been paid into the old account. Can anyone else please.

You should be able to go to the TSB and withdraw these funds. My understanding is that benefit payments, pensions etc. are released due to their nature.0

Why has your account been frozen, was it included in your IVA ?
This usually only happens with Bankruptcy, but the fact that this was a possibility should have alerted you to have been more proactive, and sorted out the bank situation before they were aware of your intentions.
Even if they have not agreed to your IVA, they should still release the funds, as the arrangement becomes binding on all creditors once approved.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
