Replacing Gutters/Soffits/Fascias

I'm going to need new roof but hoping old roof will last this winter. A reliable handy man who does guttering (son's pal), said that the fascias were rotten, when I'd asked for a quote to repaint the cast iron gutters. He said to my son that he was scared to touch them to repaint, in case the fascias gave way, so best to replace.
If I do that but I replace roof in spring, can the replacement fascias and guttering remain in place while the roof gets replaced next year or would the fascuas/gutters/soffits need to be done again?
I know ideally it's best to do roof at same time but can't face the upheaval of a full reroof at moment. However, neither do I want the cast iron gutters falling and causing injury.

Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -
