deem versus octopus

i didnt see my renewal letter for 3 october rom edf, so spent many  hours trying to find comparable deal. eventually found fixed deal with no early exit. but moving me from £47 to a new £94. now panicked by martin saying do nothing. his deem prices a little less than octopus but he is variable rate. my 14 day cool period ends tomorrow and dont know what to do, am confused

    What tariff are you on with Octopus, and how much energy per year do you use?
    If you can give details we can tell you how much better or worse off you would be on EDF's deemed tariff.

    Based on my region. October 24m v1 Octopus tariff, standing charge about the same, Octopus fixed E £520 G £46.60 per year more expensive than EDF standard tariff, latter will increase on 1 April
    Difference in rates E just over 5pkwh Gas 2.5p kwh

    Do you use electricity for heating? If not I wonder if you've got gas and electricity the wrong way round there?

    Going by the leading zero, I suspect that the OP has accidentally posted their meter readings rather than their usage.
