Type of Hydrangea

Options
I am concerned that I may wrongly pruned one of my hydrangea plants as it appears different to all the mophead varieties I have. Can someone view the attached image and advise me as to the variety. All my mopheads have flowered vigorously this year, however this odd plant has only had two flowers on it and I suspect incorrect pruning to be the cause, as it has grown larger in size than any of the others.
Many Thanks in anticipation.

I don't know the type , there are hundreds.  Pruning is a likely reason , though I have 2 hydrangea in tubs that was a whole plant that I split a few years ago. This year 1 of the tubs was in the way and I moved it to a shadier spot, and it has failed to flower. The other flowered profusely.  So possibly weather or position??

  • Possibly a hybrid-ised one ?

Like wort i had 2 in a pot, split them up and planted them in the garden.
One i shade the other in sun and shade.
The one in shade thrived and bloomed. The difference maybe that the soil stays moist and cool  through the really hot and dry summer.
If you prune back too hard you can affect flowering. The old advice used to be to leave the dry flower heads on over winter to protect the buds.
Taking a photo to a good garden centre may help identify it.
Or do photo matching on Google.
