Can anyone advise me what i should do, my energy provider has asked me to increase my direct debit for more than double the amount I was paying, I understand a bit of an increase for winter. I also have a £193 credit on my account. Not sure what to do.

Do you submit regular meter readings, or have a smart meter. If neither, they may be over-estimating. However, I'm sure you be aware, from the news, that there isn't any cheap energy available at the moment. Are you on a fixed deal or a variable tariff?
