Sorry for sounding stupid but how can ham be a cooked gammon if you still have to cook it yourself?? I am not the brightest at the best of times but this has me stumped.Penny xxx

I am thinking of cooking gammon on Christmas eve, then plan to eat it cold over christmas with pickles, which types of pickles go with gammon and cold turkey for boxing day???

It's the first time we have tried anything like this and I don't like the branson pickle stuff.

If I'm in the wrong place please move me!!
Having family meal tomorrow and I have got a 5kg Gammon which I plan to cook in the slow cooker. As its much bigger than the ones I normally do in SC I wondered if I needed to cook for longer? Or is that a stupid question????
Also does anyone know how to work out how much veg & spuds to do per person? I'm cooking for 8 adults & 2 kids. I want there to be enough for everyone without there being too much left over!!
