Rushes in to give Ms_Dee a big hug (obviously whilst wearing a mask and following appropriate guidelines about handwashing and singing)

    And to say Advents noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I so miss the haggis hunt

    I second that long 'no'!

@Ms_Dee I hope you feel better soon and that the comping fairy brings you some nice prizes in the advents.
  • @Ms_Dee hope that you feel better soon. Just wondering if it could be covid related and long covid that you are suffering from? The reason it made me think that is because I've been suffering for quite some time now with long covid and one of my main problems is chest and breathing difficulties along with a few other problems.

I am looking forward to them this year having completely missed doing them last year for the first time ever. After having taken a year out from comping I am now no longer an end dater and am up to date with the board so do them from new now. I find it so much easier and hopefully this will help when it comes to the advents.

Thanks @EnglishWelshie my sister said the same, although I'm not aware I've ever had Covid and did a PCR test on Friday, which was negative. I may mention it to the doctor though. Sorry to hear you have been suffering too, I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks so much everyone for the love and support, you are all so lovely xx
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

    Thank you @Ms_Dee

I wasn't very ill with covid and was ill last year before they started doing covid tests and were just telling us all to stay home unless we were really bad. It was the problems after that have been much worse. I have had tests at the hospital and have an appointment tomorrow for a lung function test. Long covid wasn't known of back then and it was only when I found a couple of facebook groups that I realised what was wrong and more importantly that I wasn't alone and going mad.

There are a couple of facebook groups if you are on facebook and want to join. Long Covid Support Group is a massive group and there is also Long Covid Wales which is smaller. There is a lot of information and support on both groups. If you decide to join and can't find them through searching I will post the links for you. There is also a Long Covid support Group: Scotland for if you are in Scotland but I'm not a member of that one.

I have been known to enter the advents, but with always being at work I never found the time.

I am currently working from home, so may be able to allocate some time each day to do them.

    Yep, I'm well excited!

Wishing all the best for both @Ms_Dee and @EnglishWelshie - hope you both recover as soon as possible.

I've not done advents for a few years, not sure if I'm excited or nervous to try again this year!
My favourite used to be the 'Spot the Haggis' one but I don't think they do that one anymore.

Hi. My name is euro, and I was ridiculously naive and foolish when making this post.

Thanks to illness with daughter (and then us), I got behind on standard comps anyway and now advents have hit and I'm like a deer in headlights 😂
