It does seem like your car is a bit of a problem. Worth considering trading it in for something more economical?
it is 1.7crdi (or whatever letters), i do a lot of driving which is part of my job thats one of the reasons it costs a lot on fuel.

although i did find out over the weekend there has been an issue with the car which i am taking in to be fixed tomorrow which could heavily impact the MPG so fingers crossed that should helpenthusiasticsaver said:
If your son is a toddler why do you buy a uniform?  Are you buying clothes from supermarket for him which is cheaper than some of the high street shops? What is the £200 child related expenses for? The car insurance is really expensive too.  Do you shop around for that?
he is 3 year old and his nursery insists he wears a uniform.
the car insurance has been changed this weekend from around £100 to £59, i was in the middle of a contract when i changed cars and they hiked the price until it finished.

    Morning, thanks for the SOA.

Net assets, you do own a house, that needs updating. What is the house worth?

Overdrafts first, get rid of that HSBC thing asap, than Halifax. As Nationwide is no charge/0% that can wait a little while.

What were the secured loan and parents loan for (Purpose)? Home improvements or debt consolidation/pay off. Careful on "family arrangements" I've seen the tightest families fall out over alot less than £10k.

Groceries need look at as do clothes per month.

We have some common ground, my wife is unable to work due to illness/condition and we were unable to claim anything when times were tight.
