Using shower panel trim for tile

Afternoon all

Just about to embark on tiling my bathroom, and want to use a trim to give me a neat internal corner (to be supplemented by several tubes of silicon, obviously).

Apart from (an expensive) one from Schluter the only ones I'm coming across are pitched at being designed for use with shower panels, rather than tiles (although some sites do mention the word 'tile' in the description).

Is there any reason why I shouldn't use something like this with tile?

  • the thickness of the tile would need to be factored in. those panel trims are quite deep. tiles properly laid into the corners with a careful silicone bead is an extremely neat finish tbf

Thickness should be OK - the example I linked to is 11mm and it's an 8mm tile I'll be using.

So long as they properly adhere to the wall, I can't see why they would be specifically shower board trim.
