hi all, I have 2 claims on my car insurance policy in the past 2 years (2019, 2020) 1 was fault the other was not (hit & run) but I've since been told as my insurer had to foot the bill for the repair (of the hit & run) it automatically gets noted as fault. Long story short, a named driver on my policy had someone crash into the back of their own car for which they hold their own insurance policy. I'm being told I also need to report this this accident to my insurance company as well as them reporting it to their own insurer. My concern is, that will be a 3rd claim, even though it wont actually be on that policy, it would still be the case that of the drivers on the policy there have been 3 accidents/claims made in 3 years. Am I now at risk of my insurer cancelling (or not renewing) my policy due to this?
this is a nightmare, i've got a new 20k car arriving in a few days & I now fear I'm in a situation where my policy could potentially be cancelled. Please help!

You'd need to talk to your insurance company before the new car is ready?

Here's hoping I'm stil able to get insurance lol otherwise my driveway will have a rather expensive price of furniture in it since I won't be allowed to drive the car ... Don't know whether to laugh or cry

What does your policy say about advising them of any changes to information.1

Any reason why you're posting yet another thread on pretty much the same subject.0

As someone (on another site) said even I needed to notify my insurer asap as well. I thought it was only at renewal as well I would need to declare.

Don't know whether to laugh or cryI would notify your insurer. It's not a claim on your policy and is unlikely to affect anything other than the renewal premium, but failing to inform them may be an issue. You might be OK to leave it to renewal, but I wouldn't take that risk.At the very least, read your documents to see whether the require immediate notification.

A simple solution would be to remove the named driver from your policy.Mortgage free
