    Morning everyone
Looks like today will be another NSD for me so happy about that!
I was wide awake at 4am this morning - I think writing out my SOA and 'confessing' has helped, but also made me realise just how bad my situation is. I lay awake for ages feeling really overwhelmed by it all.
However, this morning I'm feeling positive again, I am so determined to clear my debt and improve my life!!!!
I really thought I just hit rock bottom. But today, it's like there's rock bottom, 50 feet of crap, then me. (Friends)

    Hi giggal,

Just wanted to say hello and welcome! I read your diary earlier at work but for some reason I can't post from my work computer anymore.

We seem to be in quite a similar situation - I am 27 and live with OH (who is currently in Oz working, but will be back in march) and i got into debt for very similar reasons to you.

I'l keep reading - good luck!

Hi and welcome. And you thought you were the only person having these problems? Reading so far reminded me of a notice that use to be in an office where I once worked. It read some thing like:-
Semper in excreta solus sumus profundum variat (translation "We are always in the s**t it's only the depth that ever changes".
You are NOT alone, believe me!!!
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

Thanks everyone! You're all so kind and welcoming. (Mozette I love your sig - couldn't agree more, I'm such a bookworm!)
Today is payday and my last day at work before finishing for Christmas - got about an hour to go :j Have ordered my OH's Christmas present via a cashback website ;) I'm having an extremely MSE Christmas this year - only buying my lovely boyfriend a present - everyone else is going without I'm afraid (my family and friends know that I'm strapped for cash).
Going for an early birthday drink after work at the German market (mmmm, mulled wine........) so looking forward to that :D
Hope you're all ok and having a good Friday xx

  • Just a little thing that might help-you can use Clubcard vouchers for magazine subscriptions on through the Deals bit of the website, and I think they do a sub for Heat, as well as other magazines that it's easy to spend lots of money on without realising it! (EG. £5 Clubcard voucher=£20 magazine subscription)
