Part time working and overtime

Thanks for all the replies. I have got it sorted and signed a contract which I'm happy with.
 Overtime in the week after 40 hours but I'm only working 24 hours a week but will probably clock up a bit here and there so paid at my usual hourly rate and overtime rates for the weekends at time and a third and double time.
 But I'm on a good hourly rate so in my opinion winner winner chicken dinner.

Note that holiday pay should be based on the hours you actually work, not your contracted hours

So basically if full time employees get enhanced rates of pay for weekend working then it would not be unreasonable for a part time employee to ask for the same even if they have not worked a "full" week.

If a full weeks hours had been worked then on a Saturday we paid time and a half plus a half time premium (effectively double time) plus time and a half for travel time. Anyone with less than a full week would get plain time until they completed the full weeks hours but still got the half time premium and the travel time.
Sunday was effectively the same for everyone as extra hours were paid at plain time plus plain time premium plus double time for travel time.
