Returned item responsibility?

2 weeks ago I returned some Bedding to a well known Retail Outlet using their Returns label (RM 48 hrs Tracked)
I have the POP and when looking at the tracking on RM it is still only showing as being dropped off at Post Office.
I got in touch with company about my refund and they have no record of having received item and asked for my POP etc which I provided. They are looking into it at the moment and just wondered if I am liable (if it doesn't turn up) or are they?
They provided the prepaid returns label with the invoice and the cost of return to be taken out of my refund for the goods.

Once the item has been accepted at the Post Office using their label the return is complete - actually receiving the item back is their contract with the PO and not yours. They should refund you now.
That said, you could call RM Customer service with the tracking number and ask if they have any info.2 -
It is their responsibility as they have provided the service for return. Your pop is sufficient for refund and they need to refund you within 14 days of the proof of postage (not delivery).1

Thank you both. Set my mind at rest!
I must say I am getting pretty fed up with RM not updating their tracking.
It is getting more and more.0 -

Tracked is scanned at multiple points on its journey.
The chance of no scan at any point is pretty low0 -
I have been in touch with company but so far nothing from them.
The tracking is still showing as dropped off at PO and has not moved since.
I used the company's pre-paid return label that was on the invoice.0 -
Is it possible that the label has come off the parcel in transit? Is the delivery address or your return address on the parcel anywhere apart from the label that was stuck on it?

The Company has issued my refund so all good!
They didn't mention if they had received the parcel or not.0
