Apcoa parking ticket, from Tesco superstore Ludlow

Last month I was on holiday in Shropshire. Went to the Tesco Superstore in Ludlow. Spent £55.77 on groceries. Two weeks later I receive a letter from Apcoa parking for an alleged Contravention of overstay above allowed period OR failure to validate parking. It states a time of 15:11, not an arrival time. However I have managed to get a copy statement of my receipt which shows I was Checked out at 15.01. on the letter from Apcoa  it states : The alleged contravention is a breach of the terms and conditions of use of the car park. Signs are clearly displayed throughout the area showing these terms and conditions. Forgive me I live in surrey and shop at several Tesco superstores never have I heard or had to pay for parking, (why would Tesco build a superstore without a car park). when going to any superstore I don't scan the car park for signage, its mask on into the store scan and shop and out. Tesco's have been very unhelpful as they say they do not own the car park. I have appealed this but because i didnt get my receipt validated at the checkout which I did not checkout at because i was shop and scan it just did'nt get done. now i'm more aggitated then usual

I hope you didn't admit to driving when you appealed?  If you did then you binned your 100% slam dunk win. 

APCOA are a cinch to beat, had you come here first and appealed as keeper.  The NEWBIES thread explains this, and POPLA stage.

No-one pays APCOA here, at least until such time next year when we hope the new statutory code of practice being brought in by the government makes private parking charges and practices fair.
