Was reading an interesting article where it was describing F1 as becoming more of an investible opportunity, primarily driven by the implemented reducing cost cap structure and a fairer prize money allocation based on their finishing position each year (previously longer running teams received a special payment, e.g. Ferrari).

I'd even consider Bitcoin over this, I don't hold or believe in it but I don't see it going to 0 and at least it's a liquid asset.

No reason not to hold the stock within the right vehicle. Very few people research the fundamentals of their investments at the best of times. Only reason it receives attention is due to the name. That's what driaws people in.0

Or as investors in the likes of Blackmore Bond have found the interest payments can stop and there is no return of capital. Not saying it will happen but it's a distinct possibility if the team struggle in future. Bonds are the finance that is bottom of the pile for repayment.6022tivo said:

Bond paid back after 5 years.
The company has made significant losses over the last reporting periods, what makes you think that will turn around to enable repayment?

There are equity and high yield bond investment trusts that yield ~7%. They are collective investments with many holdings run by professional fund managers so the chances of them going flat broke is pretty low. You can also sell up any time you like rather than waiting for 5 yearsWhy would you back a single bond like the one in the OP?4
