Virgin Mobile Reporting on Equifax Credit Report

Hello, First time I have used this Form,
So looking to go for a mortgage shortly and noticed on my Equifax Credit Report that there is a list as long as my leg of missed payments for a Virgin Mobile SIM Card which I do not remember having and have 100% never used ! It says on the Report there is a £20 debt I owe them, I can only assume this came as part of the whole package !
I contacted their call centre several times to sort things out and clear the debt but I cannot do this as there is an associated password with this Mobile Account which I have never used as there was no need to so they won't allow me to pay the £20 without passing security !! Every time I call the call centre I am being stone walled as I need this password and they won't even generate a new one and send through the post so I am stuck and faced with a £20 debt ruining my chance of a mortgage !
Equifax have been great, I raised a dispute and it was resolved and VM removed the Mobile Account from my Credit Report but now it has appeared back and dropped my score again,
Anybody had similar issues and could anybody out there give me any advice ? The Call Centre folk are a bunch of robots when I speak with them
Thanks
Scott

The score is meaningless and paying the debt will simply show it is finally settled
Write (yes, paper and pen) and send to them as a complaint with all the details of your dispute with free proof of postage from the PO
Escalate to the ombudsman as needed0
