Updates to Credit Score

My money Market Credit Report shows an MBNA amount of around £3000 although this was repaid some while ago. The report says that MBNA updated this report on 30 August 2021 and it is now 13th October 2021. Given the importance of credit scores how can MBNA get away with such such a delay in their updating? A balance with a different credit card provider was repaid at the same time and updated by them immediately.

There is no importance to credit scores. Credit files however, are a different matter.

They may well have updated by now. Check your live files, not the free versions, if you need a real time view of your accounts.
