Issue with DAB reception.

It's happened on Radio 2 on the DAB in my car and my previous car an E class.
How long ago are you speaking about? This has just happened to me in the last month or so (it was ok before that, but I've only had the car since Sept 2020)
It happens every so often, not even a weekly event, just over the news titles of Radio 2.  Always on the hour.
  • Sounds more like a opt out option though R4 news is national. Linked to the analogue perhaps and a switching glitch?

Thanks. Glad it's not only me. I was beginning to get paranoid.
It'll be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end....

Maybe it's this. Maybe some DAB chipsets can't cope with a change of bitrate properly.
Does the cricket get broadcast on a different Radio 4 sub-channel [not sure if that's the right term]? More cricket = more changes of bitrate = more likely to notice the problem.

Just tested this, it happened. Bitrate was 128k before and after.

    We're not alone:

But I am pretty sure this is nothing to do with cars.

You’re not in North Yorkshire/ north east are you?, the bilsdale transmitter caught fire a couple of months back and this had affected tv and radio, I think today they’re switching on the temporary mast to improve things, having said all that though, my Puma radio aerial is through the rear window and it’s not as good , the little shark fin on the roof is just for WiFi, apparently…
It would be great if I were - at least I'd have a reason. NE Scotland, sadly.

PS.. how do you like your Puma, apart from the aerial? (on the radar to replace our Fiesta)
Have a look on the Puma forum

NE Scotland is completely rubbish once you leave Aberdeen City.
