Just had an email reminder that my current fix will end next month. Currently I'm paying a single rate for electricity, however both the SVR and 2 year fix they offered have separate day and night rates. Is it common practice not to offer another single rate tariff?

The SVR has to offer a single rate option, is your meter in two-rate mode by any chance?

My bill shows separate usage for day and night, but they are both charged at the same rate of 15.76p per kWh.

So your meter is in two-rate mode but they have you on a single rate tariff.
The new offers are not showing the same rate for day and night though?
Technically they are correct to offer you a two rate tariff to match your meter, just ask them to keep you on a single rate and see what they say…

Thanks, I've contacted them via Facebook and been offered a single rate SVR tariff which works out cheaper
