Cannot buy anything on Ebay using Paypal?

Trying to buy a few items on ebay, using my desktop PC with Opera/Chrome/Edge (all upto date/no addons) and with an older version

of Firefox with ad blockers etc.

I get the same result on all of them. After the Paypal password screen a white box appears with Security Prompt and in the URL it shows

Validate Captcha. There was no Captcha though.

Tried on my phone with all apps updated and I used this recently to make a purchase and it worked fine but now it shows "no supported browser" 

Upto date Samsung Galaxy Android 11.

Anyone had similar issues recently?

Have you got something running designed to block ads or pop-ups?  Possibly they could interfere with pages rendering properly.

I can't imagine this is a general problem or hordes of people would be reporting the same thing.

Maybe worth asking on the Techie forum which is full of experts on computer problems.

On firefox i have Ublock and NoScript and I know that causes issues even when I allow items.

That is why I keep other browsers stock with no addons. Having an issue on the phone as well was odd. I purchased something
recently but had them sent to a different address. Did wonder if that triggered it?

It worked on my phone today, not tried the desktop yet.

Win10 and Firefox 93.0 and AdBlock Plus here - no issues or problem doing what you want to do!

Just jumping on the back of this thread - i had this happen yesterday, tried to use PP, not on ebay though, and the transaction wouldn't happen, debit/credit card worked fine though.
Up to date browser etc. etc  ..... very odd.

Ebay seem to treat me as a test mule so I never know what they have tinkered with this time. Often it all goes back to normal
but sometimes the changes stick.  The things you do to get a set of leather bound books with ebay and paypal logo's eh...

Many years ago you could stay logged in forever, then it started signing me out.  Ebay blamed me, my computer and even my internet
connection.  Very strange that a month or so later they made it so you could not stay logged in for extended periods.

This particular issue fixed itself the following day on my mobile as post #3 mentions. Also ordered perfectly fine on the PC 3 days later,
so they fixed or undid whatever caused the problem.
