How do you get an EU digital COVID vaccination certificate showing you have been fully vaccinated with an EU approved COVID-19 vaccine if you don't live in the EU?

You don't, unless you live in the EU or one of the few non-EU countries participating in the scheme (not the UK, unsurprisingly).

• All EU citizens and their family members
• Non-EU nationals who are legally staying or residing in a Member State and have the right to travel to other Member States

If you are an UK national you cannot get one yet.

UK has applied to join the EU covid pass but it has not been approved yet.

Thanks for all your prompt responses. This allays my fears raised on another thread I started about the Pre-departure test for Portugal and a comment by ScarletBea.

I've got portuguese nationality, that's why I was able to get the EU certificate based on my NHS one.
