Your DD payment is a payment made on account. Octopus are very good at billing if you provide them with an actual meter reading. You can also set your own monthly DD payment via your online account.

Sorry, I joined them on a 24 month fixed tariff which was fine and my usage was only estimated at £31 a month at that time, that FT expired on 30th September and Octopus offered me two choices to either switch to a green energy tariff which was more than £65 approx a month DD, the other choice was a cheaper fixed tariff now estimated £59.91 a month so I opted for the cheaper of the two on another Octopus 24 month until 2023. Just such a huge jump from £31 DD to £59.91 DD a month.QrizB said:Sprinkly said:My monthly DD has gone up from initially £31 which I changed to £40 voluntarily on a fixed tariff, but now its gone up to £60 a month on the cheapest fixed tariff for one person. You may have been better just going on the variable rate which is what everyone is doing0

As octopus let you move beteeen tarrifs it may be worth asking for a quote on the variable as your an existing customer they don’t want people to go on it because currently it’s cheaper then the fixes, but bear in mind come April it will be increasing but by then we are out of winter0
