Missing fund transfer to savings account

Hi although this thread commenced in 2021 it is still relevant. I recenlty signed up for Cynergy Bank Fixed Rate Bonds. I contacted customer service about different methods of depositing the funds into the bond. 
In the past I've used bank transfer to purchase a car and was scammed therefore financial crime advised not to use this method when making big purchases because you do not have the visa guarantees. Since then I've veen weary about bank transfer. 
My enquiry to cynergy bank was aside from bank transfer alternatives are available. The other alternatives are cheque (which almost obsolete these days) and going into the HSBC bank to ask if I could deposit cash over the counter.
So do be aware of the other (very limited) methods that can be used.
