In a small tilt to fairness, they weren't strictly 'cold callers' - we had a problem with our aging solar inverters earlier in the year, & they replaced them very well.....but clearly they are somewhat pushing the envelope on selling things: it certainly sounds like snake oil.
I did actually say to the fella that is sounded a little scammy to me, & I would investigate further. He feigned being rather affronted at my suggestion, but I do wonder if they will bother to follow up 🤣Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!0 -
Just for your own peace of mind you might want to invest a whole £5-£10 in some kind of meter. I'd really hope you could dig through your meter's settings if it can display it though.On their next visit I'd really love to see another photo of their meter, but this time with another plugged into the other side of the double socket. You might need someone else there to hold them down while you take it though.The fact that it's £2400 alone should assure you beyond any doubt that it's a scam.2
