Google nest audio has suddenly stopped playing bbc radio

I bought a smart speaker mostly for the radio but My nest speaker has suddenly stopped playing bbc radio.
This still works on my other dot speaker.
I have rebooted it several times and reset to factory settings but it still just announces it is now playing bbc radio from the bbc and then silence.

An internet search shows others having this problem but no solutions offered.
Anyone know what should I be doing next?  Thanks.

One of mine is affected and yet 4 others work OK. Been like it for a couple of days now.

I have 2 nests! It only plays on one when they are close.

Is your request playing on a phone at the same time?

That’s interesting, but even when I take the speaker to the far end of the house it still won’t play bbc radio….
  • I had the same problem and raised it with Google Support Chat. The Chat was very efficient. I was talked through a few suggestions - resetting to factory default, rebooting the router, etc. None worked so it was referred upwards last Saturday. An email today told me that the issue was fixed and that I should switch off the Google Nest for two minutes before switching on again. BBC radio is back! I have to admit to being impressed with Google Support and it's Chat service.

    Yes, confirm it's all working again....Didn't require a turn off/on though... :D

Thanks,  I phoned them and they had me do a factory reset and update the phone app again and now it’s working.  I do have a lag between my request and it playing but not a problem.  They are aware of the issue and working on a fix in general now.
