Hi there,
Quick question: If I was to goto Eurodisney on the 18th of July, would it be very very busy? (school hols around Europe etc) How long would I have to wait in queues for rides etc?
Thanks
David

We went on 26th July two years ago and it was fine. I was expecting horrendous queues, but we never queued for more than 20 minutes on anything. We did travel Sunday to Thursday, avoiding the busy weekends though.
Have a great time!

Do a bit of forward planning and make us of the Fastpass service. Check out the Disneyland Paris website for which rides have Fastpass.
Get in at 'rope drop' and do the things you really want to do first. Collect your fastpass tickets and then come back later and get straight on. Don't forget to use children's tickets to get a Fastpass even if they can't ride, e.g. use your 3 yo's ticket to get a Fastpass for Space Mountain for mum or dad to use!
It's a small world - you will get on really quickly as it is a fast loader, same for Pirates of the Caribbean.
Dumbo is much slower as it takes longer to get on and off. If you have small children, anticipate queuing for this even on a quiet day.
Peter Pan is always popular but has a Fastpass. This can have the longest queues at Disneyland PAris, I've seen queues of an hour for this.
Space Mountain is great - has a Fastpass.
If you are there for a few days, see the parade on one day and then make use of that time to do rides on the others, it draws people away from the rides.
Most of the smaller children's rides like Casey Jr, Storybook boats, are fairly quick to load too.
Recommended guidebook with loads of time saving strategies is The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland Paris by Bob Sehlinger.
Finally - do the baby switch if you have small children that can't ride. One parent queues up with the child riding, the other parent waits at the exit from the ride/the designated baby switch place, it won't be signed or anything, the attendant will tell you.
The first parent rides and then you switch places. You don't have to queue again and the riding child gets two goes! All the attendants should know about this, may call it baby swap. Just make sure you tell them when you go into the attraction and ask where the waiting parent needs to be. Usually you have to enter the attraction via the exit. Hope that makes sense!0 -
Haven't checked what day of the week the 19th is, but it's best to avoid the weekend and go to the park midweek if you can.0

We went in August last year and even the queues for the loo were horrendous, sorry to say. Luckily, I have been three times before and so it did not put me off. Telly addict gives excellent advice about fast pass / queues etc. There is a limit to what you can do to improve things. I would also advocate eating at odd times - so as to take advantage of everybody else eating between 12 and 2, plus lowering the amount of time queueing for this.0

When we went to Euro-disney the worst queue we found was to get into the village when the park closes and people want to eat. What we did was to come out at normal meal times for the children usually 5 pm and went into the village - straight in no queue - fast service. Then headed back into the park. Alot of people leave the park about 30 mins before the end to try to get a meal, but we were already fed and able to ride the rides with barely no wait at all. We found this the best option for the children as they didn't get over hungry. Hope this helps and have a great time it trully is magical I love it never mind the kids!!!0

Looking at the website mentioned above there is this info:The weekend of Juyl 16 and 17 with the premiere performance of the all new fireworks spectacular 'Wishes' on Saturday and the 50th anniversary of the original Disneyland Anaheim on Sunday will bring many fans to the parks. Therefore requests have been coming in whether DLP.info will take advantage of that and will offer / planned any meeting. Unfortunately we were unable to get a full scale meeting organized - these events are way more complicated to get going than one would believe. But we promise to keep trying ... really!
BUT this should not detere all of us who are in the resort on that magical weekend to join in for some fun. Therefore in response to your numerous requests we are now proposing an unofficial FAN MEET'n'CELEBRATE ... just a meeting point where we can all meet up, chat, enjoy the parks together and certainly celebrate the two big events of the weekend. Date and place are not yet set, as we want to make this an event for the fans by the fans meaning you can help find the best times and locations...Official DFW Nerd 210
