I removed and refitted my knife rack, mine is on the left hand looking at the machine, but it makes no difference left or right. The machine is NEFF but I understand the rack itself is standard for these German makes (common supplier?). To fit this rack: start with rack at about 45 degrees (top photo); holding that position ensure you have the 2 "prongs" above the horizontal wire of the basket (as next photo) AND you are in the correct position along the wire from the front of basket as per the diagram posted by theonlywayisup (earlier in this thread); in this position ensure the rack's locking mechanism is as the next photo; now with a slight force slide the rack to the right, you should feel it twitch downward in your grip as it locks into position, see next photo; finished install see next photo, note the rack is always slightly inclined it does not sit level. Job done!

We removed ours, so as to have more space on the top rack for other stuff. It's interesting that people are wanting to reattach them.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

This has been ******** ** *** (let me rephrase that) bugging me for years, enough that I took the tray and shoved it in the shed and forgot about it (and just found it again). But obvs it has to go at the top of the tray so cups can fit beneath! Doh. What a doofus.Like Elaine I was fitting too low.mexican_dave saves the internet!0
