Good afternoon everyone
It's another lovely dry day here and not too cold either. My grandson was a bit chilly when he got up but I wrapped him up in a big fluffy blanket and he was happy. I have been fairly productive today and made 2 big pans of beef stew and knitted a little gonk that will sit on a chocolate orange as a stocking filler.
I tried again to teach my grandson to knit but we didn't get very far and he was getting a bit frustrated so I have ordered some crochet hooks and we are going to have a go at that next week instead. I struggle to do crochet so we are going to learn from YouTube and see how far we get. I also had a lovely evening with my granddaughter making silly little things for my Christmas tree. I am loving spending all this time with the pair of them.
dp1, I love hearing about your granddaughter, you sound so proud of her it's lovely to read. Actually, all of you who are grandparents on here are the same. It's lovely to hear about how they are all doing.
Sausage sandwiches for lunch, it's weird but I could smell them cooking even before they came out of the fridge! It's what made me want them for lunch. I just think I am hungry.
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day whatever you are up to, take care xx9 -
Hello all, didn't make it on here yesterday sorry. Instead I painted the dining room radiator in he morning, dusted the dining set and sorted the room of doom office, there's still more in the office that can be done but at least now you can get more than 2ft past the door. The afternoon was spent on the sofa, mainly sleeping, as my new meds wiped me out, then was in bed at 8.30pm, it's usually midnight plus !Today Mr Fix It has taken the car to his friends for a service as it didn't get done last year. I have done 2 loads of washing, stripped the bed and washed the bedding, it's the first day this week that we've had decent weather. The bed has been re-made and the bedroom hoovered and dusted. I've taken my meds with lunch so I expect I'll be spaced out/sleeping for the rest of the afternoon 🥴 I have my jigsaw in front of me so I'll try to put some more pieces together, there's only mostly sky left to do. I think I need some new ones as I've done all the others that I have, probably more than once.Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently8

Back again. I spent some time this morning on self care. I used a face pack for the first time in months, trimmed my nails and took more care with my face creams than just slapping it on as I usually do.
dp1. it's lovely spending so much time with the little ones isn't it.6 -
Back again - just finished a very nice fish finger sandwich
Dumpling - thank you it's nice to know you like hearing about little one - enjoy your time with your grandchildren too.
Snoozer - yes it is - I seem to be a lot more relaxed at being a granny than I was when my girls were little. I couldn't care less if the house isn't tidy now - it always gets done when she goes home
She had stayed in her bed till 8 this morning when she went through to DDs room trailing her milk machine behind her, wearing her shoes and a t shirt over head pulled over her pyjamas - shouting 'I is ready mummy' and very pleased with herself!6 -
