I've been living in a static caravan for the last two years and it's built to EN1647 not BS3642. There's an explanation here of the different standards. https://www.sellmygroup.co.uk/blog/differences-park-home-caravan-lodge/ For me buying a static winterised caravan from a supplier such as https://www.sunriseholidayhomesltd.co.uk/product-category/used-static-caravans/ would mean buying an equivalent property.1

If you want to live in a static caravan that is fine, but you started a thread referring to park homes. You may think they are the same, but they are not. More to the point, you would not be able to site one on a residential park.2

Very good point! Before I started this thread I thought static caravans and park homes were the same thing. However, as you say, clearly not!0
