Moving House/New Energy Customer

Hi.
We're hoping to move to a new property hopefully before the month end or early November. Currently with Pure Planet
We'll need to sign up wit a new provider at the new property I presume? Will that mean we can only chose from high/fixed price contracts? Can a new customer simply apply for a new contract that is just the price cap price?
What should we do?
Thanks.

Find existinng suppliers at the new address:Find the meters (usually either on an outdoor wall, under the stairs or in some cupboard somewhere) and read them. Phone up the existing suppliers and say you've just moved into 17 Cherry Tree Lane, can I have a new account please, my meter readings are <whatever> and <whatever>.If you do nothing else then at least tell the supplier at the new address you've moved in and provide some meter readings. If you don't, you will have issues further down the line1

You will need to find out who the current supplier is & call them up to register with them. You should be automatically put onto their default tariff which is the price cap unless you agree a different tariff with them. If they say you need to agree a tariff, just say you’ll have a look online to see what’s available as you might be changing to the company you’re already with.1

Also, don't forget to give Pure Planet your leaving readings when you move.
