My grandson is size 13-14, he’d like a Manchester United football kit for Christmas (sorry to use the c word!).
Are they the same price everywhere?

I’ve never bought a football kit before.

I doubt you will get a junior/teenage for less than £50 anywhere for just the top. The shorts/socks more on top1

If you're asking whether they're surprisingly expensive, yes. There will be occasionally deals, especially if you can buy a less popular size or type (i.e. home / away / third).
If you find one that's significantly cheaper that's not from a recognisable retailer, it will probably be a fake - which may not be what you want.2 -
The good news is that he should still fit into the kids sizes, which are cheaper but definitely not cheap! £50 shirt, £25 shorts and £18 socks. All kits are pricey - the first division, MK Dons kit I bought for my 14 year old nephew was £70 because their kids sizes only go up to age 12. When I've bought Man Utd kits I've always bought direct from the club as places like Sports Direct charge the same prices and I would rather not give money to Mike Ashley.2

Yes I know they are expensive - I just wanted the best price (if they vary at all).jim1999 said:If you're asking whether they're surprisingly expensive, yes. There will be occasionally deals, especially if you can buy a less popular size or type (i.e. home / away / third).

Direct from Man Utd, Adidas (the manufacturer), JD Sport and Sports Direct are all charging the same price. Last year's kit (2020 / 2021 season) is cheaper but they have changed the shirt sponsor this season so it would be very obviously an "old" kit. Cheaper kits are not going to be the real thing and counterfeit ones can vary markedly in quality.Kim_kim said:

Adidas often have discount codes of 20-30% so it may be worth trying to see if you can use one to reduce the price.
