Baked Beans
Options
I couldn't find the old thread about baked beans. I remember posting that we liked the basic ones from Waitrose which were 30p for 400g tin or 4 for £1.10.
I'm not a regular Waitrose shopper so just stock up every few weeks.
Today I noticed that the beans are now 40p a tin and the multi offer withdrawn.
That's a 25% increase, about 8 times inflation. Presumably because they can.
So, any recommendations for better value? Preferably without too much sauce. 🤔

At the moment you can get 4 for £1.20 which at least isn't such a big jump. The trouble with Waitrose offers is they don't show when they end (unless anyone can show me if that information is on its website).0

I swopped to Lidl own brand when Waitrose started messing around with their price. Try them.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.1

They are 4 for £1.20 when I checked online just now.. The offer ends 20/09/2022 (!) I assume it's the same in store? It's a faff but you could always ask one of the store staff to check if there is no offer displayed.1

Give up the beans, they have strange attributes, 50p for 2 custard tarts at Morrisons is / are more yummy.1

M&S is far superior to Waitrose and they sell 4 tins of beans for £1.10 from Ocado. Think they might be 30-35p in store. They don't have too much sauce but decide that for yourself.Try to open the tin just enough so that you pour the excess sauce out without the beans falling out.0
