Warm Home Discount ...old provider

During the qualifying period this year I was in the middle of a takeover from the failed Green Network Energy to EDF. EDF have today told me that GNE did not give them the Warm Home Discount details so when EDF submitted their 'live' list of qualifying users to the Dept Of Work/Pensions...my address was not on it. I have since left EDF but this screw up is following me. As EDF didn't know they in turn passed nothing to my new supplier. I've spoken to EDF today and they say my new supplier can submit my details but I'm concerned because I've missed that qualyifying period the DWP will simply say they dont have my details and its case closed. Anyone had anything like this before?
