Balance Transfer

Hi,
I’ve been offered a 0% interest balance transfer on a card I am already using for new transfers. Does anyone know if it’s possible to transfer the balance on this card to another one I have and then transfer the whole lot back to the card with the offer so I get the full benefit of another 21 months 0% interest? TIA

In theory it should be no problem.  Assuming that on both cards you are still within the transfer window (many cards only allow a transfer within the first month or first 3 months or whatever).  The other factor to consider is the transfer fee - you could end up paying 2 fees, one on each transfer - would this offset any saving in interest you'd make?  The only other thing to watch, most cards won't allow a transfer from another card that's owned by the same umbrella company, so you'd just need to check this.
  • Thanks for the response, hadn’t considered the fees so will check that out. The cards are from different companies so should be ok 👍
  • Hi, Has anyone else had trouble transferring a balance from an Amazon credit card? I wanted to reduce my credit card with Amazon and applied for a 3 month 0% balance transfer with the post office - the Amazon card number kept coming up as incorrect - I even telephoned the Post Office credit card company as I thought I was getting the card number incorrect but they were unable to solve this for me, I have written to Amazon for an explanation, TIA
