Watched the Martin Lewis programme last night where he said the variable tariff was the cheapest and NOT to go for a fixed tariff as it was much more expensive. This was incorrect because I was invited onto a fixed rate tariff which will work out cheaper than the existing variable rate. I double checked using the tariffs for 365 days at Standing Charge rate, Daytime rate and night time rate for each unit (kilowatt). Calculated it at £130 cheaper for the coming year.

If it is with Neon Reef then don't bother though, and I am sure Martin has similarly discounted them in his comments...
