Fast track reclaim

Hi all
I looked into fast track reclaim but shortly after decided to look into ppi myself as I knew they'd take a hefty Chunk off me. Ignored all correspondence from them and now received an email from Joseph James law solicitor asking me to send my lenders final decision letter and I will be liable to pay them a fee. I have never signed anything and in 1 phone call I asked them to cancel my details off their site and that I am looking into it myself. The solicitor email is saying if they don't have my final decision letter from my lender within 14 days I will be taken to court! I know I haven't signed anything. Please help

However, there is an awful lot of CMCs appearing to try-it-on at the moment and using solicitors to make threats. Some people have gone to court and the courts have ruled against the claims company. So, whilst it is possible you did get to a stage you are committed to a bill, its also possible that they are trying it on.The solicitor email is saying if they don't have my final decision letter from my lender within 14 days I will be taken to court! Please helpKeep all correspondence you receive and write back (keeping a copy) saying that you do not believe you ever entered into any contract with this company and do not owe them anything. Ask them to supply evidence of a contract signed by you.
They are huffing and puffing at the moment. Hoping you will roll over.. They are required to attempt resolution without going to court first. If they go to court without attempting resolution, the judge will not take kindly to it. Also, they will be required to supply what evidence they have. So, you can see it. Threats are just threats at this stage. If you didn't enter into a contract then you can genuinely rest easy but don't ignore it. If you did enter into a contract then expect them to follow through and you should rightly pay them.
