Utility Point to EDF - still heard nothing

Even though EDF took over my gas and electricity supply on 18th September I've still heard nothing from them to confirm a new account or tarrif. I presume I will be switched to their Standard Variable Rate, backdated to 18th Sept, but it would be nice to have this all confirmed.
Have any former UP customers on here had confirmation yet?

It is the standard variable rate, currently about the best rate available because it’s capped, but some of us have already got switches out ongoing because of fixes that were available in mid September.0 -
I rang EDF to speak to them as we should at least know what the cost per unit and standing charge is. I was told (though I'm not sure I believe) they were honouring the Utility Point Tariff until accounts are moved over.Official SOS Club number 004 - Dry until (05.01.10)1

That along with the information available on EDFs website suggest it is unlikely you have been given correct information & if it were me I would be asking EDF to send you an email confirmation of what one person has said to you verbally
That said I guess its not beyond the realms of possibility that it could be true - in the event it were true it would mean moving to a different supplier eg BG Evolve was not necessarily the best move especially if the transfer to EDF takes a few months like it did with GNE - would have been very nice to be on UPs cheap rates until the start of next year0 -
