Global index tracking ETF?

Looking for a low cost global index tracker ETF (accumulation not income).
Looking for reasonably representative global weightings (i.e. includes Emerging Markets and not over-weight UK home-bias).

This Vanguard EFT does all this, but its shown as (USD):
VANGUARD FUNDS PLC FTSE ALL-WORLD UCITS ETF (USD) ACCUMULATING (VWRP)

I don't want additional currency exposure, does the fact it's specified (USD) not (GBP) mean returns may differ due to GBP:USD currency movement compared to an equivalent (GPB) fund? If so can anyone offer an alternative ETF that ticks all the boxes?

HMWO: Its an EFT from HSBC & tracks the World MSCI instead of the FTSE World Index.

... the difference being that MSCI captures 85% of the investable universe by market cap but FTSE tracks 90% so goes a bit deeper into mid caps.

VWRL and VWRP are both in GBP not USD.

Morningstar specifies it's (GBP), but confusingly HL don't.
Morningstar: VWRP Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF USD Accumulation (GBP)

HL have 3 versions, the last one is the only one that seems to specify "GBP".
VWRP Vanguard Funds plc FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (USD) Accumulating
VWRD Vanguard Funds plc FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (USD) Distributing
VWRL Vanguard Funds plc FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (USD) Distributing - GBP

Looks possible but does it include some exposure to Emerging Markets? I can't find a geographical breakdown showing any EM.

Thanks for confirming this. HL listing presents them as though VWRP and VWRD are an Acc. and Dist. USD pair, and VWRL Dist. is GBP with no Acc. equivalent.

I agree that HL are sometimes a bit poor in presenting their data. Compare the buying and selling price of VWRL and VWRP against VWRD. The first two are priced in £ and VWRD is priced in $

Unavoidable. The underlying investments will be traded in their home currency. Trading a fund in GDP makes it easier to follow. Rather than having to convert continually.

Makes no difference what currency the ETF is denominated in. It's about the value of the investments, whether you measure that in dollars, pounds or gold doesn't change the stock performance.
Moneyvator has a good explanation (scroll down to Fund Denominations Don't Matter:)

This is correct - it makes no difference what currency the fund is denomimated in. All that makes a difference is whether or not it is hedged.
