Service contracts are available from a few companies, there not insurance but more of a club where you pay an annual subscription to get priority visits when you urgently need trades people. Some charge an excess per call out :'( can workout expensive.
They offer Peace of mind unless the op has other local trades people on speed dial,
Always read the t&c's read reviews-trustpilot, fakebook etc
Beware they are money making businesses offering to upsell their own products, services and possibly utilities. Buyer beware.
