Free boiler, ECO scheme.

My wife gets DLA higher level and as our boiler was over 15 years old we decided to see if we could replace it under the scheme. Contacted a few companies before finding one who would do it. Free replacement boiler or pay £1000 to have a combi and remove all the old tanks, we went for that.
All done in a day, working fine and very pleased BUT when the boiler registration came through there was only a 2 year guarantee, not the standard 6 year one. I rang to ask why and was told this was standard for boilers under the ECO scheme.

Under ECO2, we require a warranty for at least a year for a boiler repair or replacement. We do not hold details of which company issued warranties for boiler repairs or replacements.
