If you have enough credit to cover you till the solr takeover then cancel it. Reason being, it took me 5 months to get my credit back last time my supplier went bust.. and they only had about 100k coustomers... It's going to take ages for people to get sorted after this mess... The less credit you are waiting on the better.0

zagfles said:Different for Igloo - email from EON says:"If you paid Igloo Energy Supply Limited by Direct Debit, please don't cancel this, as it will help make your move go more smoothly if you can leave it set up for now. But don't worry if you've already cancelled your Direct Debit. We'll let you know how to set up a new one with us when we update you about your E.ON Next energy account over the next couple of weeks."
I cancelled it before I read the email though.
Peoples energy created a pdf bill 1st October, which is nearly 2 weeks after they said they stopped supplying me but its good cos it has proof of my very latest `DD crediting them with the meter readings to match0 -
@oligopoly I think you should cancel the DD. Also make very sure you have your meter readings for date you switched to Igloo, and for 3 October when E.On take over. As you seem not to have had any bill from Igloo, you will need to rely on your records to calculate how much of your £240 payment has been taken by proper charges, and therefore how much is due back to you.0

I look on it this way, whoever was your supplier they aren't now so why should they have the chance to take more money off you? DD cancelled.
They've already stated (for me Igloo) we no longer supply your energy as of 3rd October. I'm in credit to the tune of (as of there last tarrif) enough to cover 2 months bills. Whether that to start with is enough to start me off with an Eon Next account I have no idea, they may want a payment or two off me first before the credit amount is applied. That's fine by me, I'll eventually see the credit amount applied I have read, it's just when.
No one likes this stuff happening to customers or indeed the companies involved. I do what's best for me and I'm pretty sure my bills will rise as a result of all this, well they were going up with Igloo anyways, more I guess now.0 -
I could cover 3 months bills with Avro's prices but only two with the Octopus prices so I hope I am paid back in no more than two months.Someone please tell me what money is0
