Looking to get a second floor bedroom window replaced.
It's a 2400mm by 1200mm window.
First quote back including scaffolding was £1300
Second quote was £1470
Third was £960
£960 person said it can be done without scaffolding.
This was just from talking on the phone so it's not a final quote.
Edit: I'm in the Yorkshire area fyi

scaffold seems a bit much for one 8 x 4 window . so does the price too . even the cheapest . there maybe a reason but a simple fit that's a £600 job in white with little making good . the more work required to make good the more expensive , I cannot remember the last time I used scaff to do one upstairs window

Not sure about measurements but we had standard double window in bedroom (first floor) done for £560, didn't need scaffolding. We are South West.
Safestyle (learnt my bloody lesson there!) said £2k and needed scaffolding. Absolute scam.
Went with a local business who did an amazing job!0 -
Maybe a stupid question, but no chance of doing it from the inside?
