Volvo Electricity Recharge Refund - Make sure you claim

I purchased a Volvo XC40 Hybrid in August 2020. As part of the deal, Volvo offered a refund of the electricity cost for the first year of recharging but gave no information on how this refund would be paid.
I contacted Volvo Customer Services by email on 10/8/2021 to find out how to claim the refund. I received the following response:
"Thank you for your email, Volvo UK will be reaching out to all customers by September 2021, To advise of the next steps with regards to reimbursements for the recharge campaign."
September came and went with no word from Volvo. After repeated reminders, I received the following response:
"We are aware of a problem with some of our customers trying to claim the refund amount in the app, so I do apologise if you have been affected by this. Just to check, have you checked in the notification bell in the app to see if anything is there? And can you see your refund amount in the Car tab under statistics? "
The statistics tab (which has since been removed from the app) showed a refund due of £334. I received no notifications about the refund.
Volvo are finally arranging my refund which will (hopefully) be paid in the nest few days.
I am posting this here for anyone who purchased or leased a new Volvo hybrid or electric vehicle in 2020 and may be unaware that they are due a refund. Email: custcare@volvocars.com
