Faulty Fitbit

I was wanting to know what my consumer rights are with the Fitbit Versa 3 that I’ve had since February. Since the end of May it’s been incorrectly counting the floors I’ve climbed MASSIVELY! I’ve contacted Fitbit who told me that it’s a known problem and they’re working on this, but may not be able to provide a fix in the near future and they continue to monitor the situation. I requested a replacement and they said a replacement won't guarantee that the issue will not occur again. What are my rights?

A lot of these do not work in Air Conditioned building. As they work on barometric pressure. Which is not present in a A/C building.
Bet you will find if you drive a car with window open and go up/down big hill it will count as floors..Life in the slow lane1 -
That's fascinating - I had no idea that functionality had been added to such products. It does sound very much like a solution looking for a purpose, though. Steps/mileage I can understand, but floors climbed?born_again said:A lot of these do not work in Air Conditioned building. As they work on barometric pressure. Which is not present in a A/C building.

Had it on my old Garmin. Is a pointless sales pitch as it is never going to work in a way that people think. Pretty sure on Garmin. 1 flight of stairs was a 10 foot change in height.
>>>Fitbit devices that count floors have an altimeter sensor that detects when you go up in elevation. Your device registers 1 floor when you climb about 10 feet or 3 meters. Your device uses changes in barometric pressure combined with the steps you take to calculate floors climbed.<<<
So in a A/C office if they crank it up, you get something for nothing 🤣Life in the slow lane1 -
no this is happening in my house (no A/C) and everywhere else I go it’s miscountingborn_again said:A lot of these do not work in Air Conditioned building. As they work on barometric pressure. Which is not present in a A/C building.
