I'm an ex-Avro customer switched to Octopus and yet to receive tariff details how does CEC know how much I'm going to save or pay more?

You can get CEC to approximate it by selecting the 'Flexible Octopus October 2021 v2' tariff, which is the educated guess of what you'll be on.
I'd not switch in your position though.1
