Hi I'm just checking here as I'm getting confused (not travelled overseas since pre Covid). 

If I travel to France for either a day trip or over night stay and am fully vaccinated, based on what I am reading, I can just enter and show my NHS app to prove vaccinated? No tests etc required on the way in?

Do I need to test on the way back to the UK?

Where is the best place to look to find out? If it's a day trip, how does it work if I need to get a test for coming back?

Not sure I can bothered if it's going to be a big hassle.

If you are travelling to France for work, read the guidance on visas and permits as the rules have changed since 1 January 2021.

•Fully vaccinated travellers will need to present the following documents:

• a completed ‘sworn statement’ (déclaration sur l’honneur) form self-certifying they are not suffering from symptoms associated with coronavirus and have not been in contact with confirmed cases in the preceding fortnight. This can be found on the French government’s website

• proof of vaccination status

  
  

  Return to England 

  Before you travel to England – fully vaccinated

  Before you travel to England you must:

  • book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test – to be taken after arrival in England
  • complete a passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England

  You will need to enter your COVID-19 test booking reference number on your passenger locator form.

  When you arrive in England – fully vaccinated

  After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2.

  You must book this test before you travel back to England.
