EXPERIENCE WAGNER’S THRILLING ‘THE VALKYRIE’ AT THE ENGLISH NATIONAL OPERA
Olivier Award-winning director Richard Jones returns to the ENO to direct this gripping new production of Wagner’s The Valkyrie. The second part of Wagner’s four-opera Ring saga, The Valkyrie is the start of a five-year collaboration with the Metropolitan Opera which will see all four parts staged at the London Coliseum.
Set against the rich landscape of Norse mythology, The Valkyrie sees the earth plunged into conflict by scheming gods in their search for power. A man pursued and a woman in love create a devastating dispute between father and daughter, with apocalyptic consequences.
To accompany this epic tale, ENO Music Director Martyn Brabbins conducts the award-winning ENO Orchestra, with a star-studded cast of singers featuring Matthew Rose (Wotan), Rachel Nicholls (Brünnhilde) Nicky Spence (Siegmund), Emma Bell (Sieglinde), Brindley Sherratt (Hunding), and Susan Bickley (Fricka).

‘The Valkyrie Online Promotion’ on Classic FM, October 2021 – Specific Rules.
1. The Valkyrie Online Promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Monday 4th October 2021 to Sunday 10th October 2021 on Classic FM. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is The English National Opera. The ‘Prize Providers’ are The English National Opera, and The NDL Group.
2. IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here. Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions.
Details of the Promotion:
3. To enter the Promotion, you must go online to the Promotion entry page at www.classicfm.com/win, register your details and submit an answer to the multiple choice question provided.
4. Online entry will open at 00:01 on Monday 4th October 2021 and close at 23:59 on Sunday 10th October 2021. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion.
5. Within 7 days of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible entries will be entered into a draw. One correct entry will be selected at random and the winning entrant will be contacted by one of our representatives via email or telephone on the details on which you entered. If such winner does not respond within 14 days from being contacted, they will forfeit their right to the prize and we shall be entitled to select another winner by another random draw. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification email within 7 days of the date on which they are notified, or they will also forfeit the prize.

Prize Terms and Conditions:
12. Ticket dates to see The Valkyrie are limited and restricted, valid for performances on Monday 22nd November 2021, Thursday 25th November 2021, Wednesday 1st December 2021, or Tuesday 7th December 2021.
13. Travel will take place on the winners’ chosen Valkyrie show date of available dates, and include off peak train travel that will need to be booked at least 6 weeks before you plan to travel. Off Peak refers to travel booked outside of morning and evening commuter periods. This varies depending on operator but generally excludes departure between 0600-1000 and 1600-1900.
14. You will be staying in a 4* hotel, sharing a double room with en-suite bathroom on a bed and breakfast basis. If you’d prefer a twin room, we will do what we can to secure this for you, but it cannot be guaranteed.
15. Your pre-theatre dinner at Cote Brasserie is based on 2 adults enjoying a 3- course meal from the pre-theatre menu including ½ bottle of house wine.
16. The promoter reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of technical or other difficulty that might compromise its integrity.
17. This promotion and these terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in this competition.
18. The Valkyrie E-tickets will be emailed to the winner once they have confirmed acceptance of the prize. In the event that the selected performance or the show is postponed or cancelled, the prize provider will provide tickets to an alternate performance or show at their discretion.
19. Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner.
20. You must, at your own cost, comply with all necessary checks, and/or tests required for travelling to and from and entering and exiting your travel destination.
