Ticketmaster (Resale Ticket) - How to Obtain a Refund Due to Concert Changing Date

First the rant. My opinion of the help through Ticketmaster is diabolical. It appears there is no way to contact a real person. I have seen telephone numbers posted on the internet but convinced these are all a scam?
Now the Question. I purchased a resale ticket to watch a concert this October (2021). Unfortunately, the concert has been postponed to 2023. I would like a refund as a result. Does anyone know if a refund is possible and if so how I go around requesting this? Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Do you know exactly who you bought it from? Ticketmaster themselves, or some other punter selling through the TM site?
Have you checked that the ticket is actually valid, i.e. was able to be re-sold. Many are not, nowadays.0 -
I've emailed Ticketmaster before and had a reply.
You can also use their online live chat from Mon -Frid 9am - 5pm.
I know if the event is cancelled you get your money back if you purchase directly from them but not sure what happens in your case as you purchased from a third party nor am I sure what happens if it's cancelled and moved to a new date. This is where insurance comes in handy. Never taken that out to be honest as a couple of the events were reletavely cheap tickets and the last one was Bon Jovi and it was unlikely they would cancel.0 -
The ticket was purchased through ticketmaster and the details of this still resides in Ticketmaster. There is even a "contact us" link but this just takes you down a rabbit hole.0

I have not used the chat option as yet. I didn't know one existed. Looks like I will have to wait until a weekday. Thanks for pointing this out.
As a matter of interest, what is the email address used?0
